Welcome to Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh Nederland
Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh Nederland (HSS Nederland) is a voluntary, non-profit, social and cultural organisation dedicated to inspiring individuals, strengthening families, and uniting the Hindu community through the timeless values of Sanatana Dharma.
At HSS Nederland, we are convinced that the world becomes a better place when individuals live with character, compassion, discipline, and a spirit of selfless service. Guided by the principle of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” — The Whole World is One Family, we work to create harmony within society while preserving and celebrating Hindu heritage, culture, and values.
Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh Nederland is part of a global movement dedicated to community development, cultural preservation, and character building through the teachings of Hindu Dharma. Everyone is welcome regardless of age, origin, or religion.
Our activities include:
• Weekly family and youth gatherings
• Cultural and educational programs
• Yoga, games, and leadership activities
• Festivals and community celebrations
• Volunteer and service initiatives
• Youth empowerment and personal development
HSS Nederland is committed to creating a confident, united, and service-minded community that contributes positively to Dutch society and the world.
Together, we grow. Together, we serve. Together, we build a harmonious future.

Sangha Sutra represents the fundamental spirit of HSS Nederland: a thread that weaves individuals into a united, value-driven community. It reflects the timeless values of Sangathan (Unit), Sanskar(Charater), and Sewa(Service), inspiring people to live with purpose, compassion, and cultural pride.
Sanskar: Instilling moral values, discipline, respect, and cultural heritage to nurture individuals of strong character and integrity.
Sewa: Promoting selfless service to society with compassion, humility, and a commitment to the welfare of all.
Sangathan: Building unity and togetherness by connecting individuals and families through shared values, cooperation, and collective strength
To Inspire, Unite, and Serve
Our mission is to organise and empower the Hindu community in Nederland around the timeless principles of Sanatana Dharma.
Through education, cultural activities, leadership development, and service initiatives, HSS Nederland strives to create responsible citizens who serve society with humility, dedication, and compassion.
World Peace through Dharma We envision a world where people live in harmony, guided by the universal values of Dharma - truth, compassion, respect, unity, and selfless service. Through individuals with high values and united communities, we strive to contribute to peace, understanding, and the welfare of humanity.
Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh Nederland (HSS NL) is part of the global HSS movement, which began in the 1940s outside Bharat (India) to serve the Hindu diaspora. HSS was founded to preserve and promote Hindu culture, values, and community service across the world.
In the Netherlands, HSS started with small local gatherings (Shakhas) and gradually expanded to cities such as Amsterdam, Amstelveen, Utrecht, Den Haag, Eindhoven, Arnhem, and Rotterdam. These weekly Shakhas became centres for yoga, cultural education, games (Khel), physical activities (Yoga, Surya Namaskar, Asanas), and character development.
HSS Nederland continues to grow and organizes events, youth programs (such as Balgokulam), and community service initiatives. All activities are rooted in the ideals of Sangathan (Unity), Sanskar (Character), and Sewa (Service).
Grounded in these principles, HSS Nederland continues its mission to build strong individuals, strong families, and a strong community.

Guided by timeless values of dharma, unity, and service, we strive to build a harmonious and courageous samaj(society).

(The Eternal Guru)
“The Bhagwa Dhwaj is not just a flag—it is our eternal Guru, a symbol of sacrifice, purity, courage, and dharma, guiding swayamsevaks across the world in service and unity.”

(Param Pujya Doctor Ji )
“Peace and love are possible only between equals. The real enemies of peace are those weak people, who, because of their weakness, incite the strong. If we are weak, we commit the sin of disturbing world peace.”

(Param Pujya Guru ji)
“Harmony is the most essential component for the development of life, nature, society, and the nation.”
These numbers reflect our journey of nurturing character, community, and commitment to the society of Nederland.
